WOODigital, an innovative on-line course that will allow you to become a fully competent WOODWORKER 4.0 will be available in a few months!

The WOODigital training course will be accessible in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Hungarian languages allowing learners, workers and companies from different European countries to benefit from its content. The training is being developed to stimulate the professional competences of current and future woodworkers, enabling them to acquire digital and green competences essential to face the ongoing transition and challenges of wood and furniture industries across Europe.

Enshrined in a context of important raw material availability and ageing of the labor force, the WOODigital will offer an innovative solution to these challenges and accompany the industry and young Europeans in a transition towards the wood industry 4.0.

The training program will be dedicated to VET centers, employers, self-employed and professionals that are transitioning into new career paths, or simply willing to upskill their professional competences. The course will be free of charge and flexible by proposing a format enabling to follow the training according to the needs and availability of each platform user. 

The learning platform will be organized in 5 learning Units structured by few distinct learning pills containing short videos, case studies, reading materials, presentations and other external learning resources additional to the core curriculum. The course offers the opportunity to verify the progress of acquired competences, through multiple-choice question self-assessment and practical assessment that could be used by VET providers or companies across Europe to train their students and employees. Certificates equivalent to an ECTS level 4 valid for 5 years, will be attributed to those having successfully completed individual tests proposed after each unit. 

The WOODigital training is being developed within the framework of Erasmus+ project (Dual Learning for Improving Digital Skills of Young Woodworkers, Project Reference: 2020-1-FR01-KA202-080104, http://www.woodigital.eu/) by experienced European partners coming from 5 countries: 

• France: INTERPROFESSIONNELLE AUVERGNE RHÔNE ALPES/ Mouvement des entreprises de France – MEDEF Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes; 
• Italy: FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA DELLE INDUSTRIE DEL LEGNO DEL SUGHERO DEL MOBILE DELL' ARREDAMENTO ASSOCIAZIONE and CONSORZIO DEL MOBILE SCPA;
• Spain: CENTRE DE DIFUSIÓ TECNOLÒGICA DE LA FUSTA I DEL MOBLE DE CATALUNYA;
• Hungary: MAGYAR BÚTOR ÉS FAIPARI SZOVETSEG;
• and Ireland: GALWAY-MAYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

 

In Spring/Summer 2022 all WOODigital partners will provide a unique opportunity for students selected on national levels, young professionals and trainers interested in developing their digital skills and having a learning mobility experience abroad, to participate in a mobility journey in Italy and Spain, where they will be further trained and will be dealing with “real life” practical issues and activities within VET schools and companies. Also, a virtual training activity will be an accessible opportunity to at least 20 people in each partner country. Students, workers, trainers, VET centers, and companies interested in these training opportunities are welcomed to contact the relevant partner institution for more detailed information on the calendar and selection conditions.
